Assembly programs for grades K-12 feature world folk tales, stories from American history, and personal narrative. Each program is tailored to fit school curriculum with attention to the Common Core ELA. Books from the school media center are often featured encouraging students to READ! READ! READ!
Artist in Residence
Residencies of two, three, or four days allow students to dig deeper into the art of storytelling and story writing. With an emphasis on American history, Tim collaborates with teachers to craft educational units integrating Social Studies and ELA standards.
In School Field Trips
In-School Field Trips begin with a storytelling performance from a particular period of American history. Afterward, students are invited to enter into the time period through dramatic play—Colonial Fair, Native American Pow Wow, Civil War Encampment, World War II Radio Show.
Professional Development presentations range from keynote speeches for education conferences to hands-on training in differentiated instruction, arts integration, teaching strategies, and family literacy.
